Where could your AI use sit under the AI Act?

Choose one system and purpose. This short check highlights a potential category, explains the limits and points you to the official legislation. It does not replace a legal assessment.
1. What best describes the AI use?

Assess one system and one clearly defined purpose at a time.

2. What is your role?
3. Is there an EU connection?

For example, you operate in the EU, supply it there, or its output is used there.

Why one use case at a time?

Purpose and context change the answer.

The same model can carry different obligations when used for different purposes. A writing assistant used for internal drafts is not equivalent to a system ranking job applicants. Your role also matters: providers and deployers have different duties, and some organisations hold both roles.

The tool uses a deliberately small set of common examples. It cannot capture every Article 5 prohibition, Annex III category, exclusion, exception or sector-specific rule. Repeat it for each distinct system and use, then verify the result against the official text.
